paper boat drinks and memories : part 1(anar and kokum)
23:25Hey all!! I am so excited about this post because it is my first food blog post and that too in collaboration with PAPER BOAT DRINKS. Before moving forward I would like to know if you guys have ever visited their website and facebook page ??? If not then I am linking both the pages below because I don’t want you all to miss it. I have never seen such an interesting and innovative website before. It’s a fun website and you will like to visit it again and again. They have done proper detailing of their each and every product that is available in the market.

For the very first time when I saw the paper boat
advertisement I was all curious and boggled at the same time that how do these
drinks, link you to your childhood memories. I found their advertisement very
well conceptualized and it did evoke the childhood memories and I can actually
relate a lot of instances from the advertisement to my childhood.
Let’s now talk about their drinks. Firstly about their
packaging, paper boat drinks come in a cute and colorful, sleek, flexible
plastic- paper bottles. These bottles are easy to open, handy and portable. You
will always feel good when you are holding these bottles, they have all nice
colors and graphics all over them. I will also like to tell you guys that when
you are buying a pack of three (250ml) box then you will come across too many
cute things. They have a fridge magnet inside and a cute letter with a nice
message that will make you even happier.
Truly speaking I have
never tasted such wonderful ready to serve drinks till date. They are really
far-far better than the other packaged drinks in the market and the best also
and I am saying this in content of taste as well as nutritional value both.
They are my current
favorite I have almost tried their every flavor and I have loved them all. From the very first sip to the last sip you
will get a sense of satisfaction and after that you cannot deny this fact that
it tastes exactly like the one that is made in our home. They are so-so close to the real things and I
hardly feel any difference. They have a perfectly balanced flavor and color. Their
drinks did made me remember my childhood days and I sailed through the river of
memories that how my parents used to take me my sister every day to the ‘juice-corner’
for the ‘anar ka juice’ and the time during summers when we returned home after
school and our mother used to treat us with jaljeera.
Let’s now talk about what I have for you guys in this post. Everyone
one knows that these paper boat drinks are ready to serve drinks but they are
more than this. Before moving forward I must tell you guys that I am a great fan
of mock tails and shakes, so I keep on experimenting and I did the same with paper
boat drinks. Here in this post I will be presenting my two drinks one with Anar
and the other with kokum.
INGREDIENTS:
Fresh mint leaves.
Lemon or lemon juice
Lemon slices
Black salt (1\2 tsp)
Chaat masala (1\4 tsp)
Ice cubes
Sugar (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS:
1.
Rinse the mint leaves and put them inside the
mason jar(or glass) . Muddle the mint leaves using a muddler or spoon so that
you get a nice flavour of mint in your drink.
Tips: use chilled anar juice and if you want to add some sweetness you can use sugar according to your taste buds.
Note that they already have some spices mixed in their drinks
but in a very small amount. You can read more about their anar drink and its
functional benefit by clicking here.
2.
FIZZY KOKUM MASALA
INGRIDEINTS:
Sugar 1tsp
Lemon
Plain soda (or sprite)
Paper boat kokum (it already have little amount of
some spices mixed in it)
Black salt
Chaat masala
INSTRUCTIONS:
- .Squeeze in half lemon into the mason jar or glass
- Add 1 tsp sugar.
- Fill half of the jar with the paper boat kokum
- Add ice cubes
- Then add chilled soda in the same quantity of kokum
- To strengthen the flavors of the drink I added a pinch of black salt and chaat masal both from the top.
- .Instead of soda you can use sprite but keep in mind that you need to use kokum in larger quantity than that of sprite. This is so because sprite will overshadow the flavor of kokum.
- .Ready to serve.
