Cappuccino Blast: Eat, Love and Laugh!!!

11:00

This place is one of a kind, full of life and a perfect place to unwind. People love to be here again and again and it is among the favourite hangouts of Lucknowites. Cappuccino Blast that was just started as a cafe by Puja Nemani (owner/founder), has now expanded in manifold. This place is now already a big thing in Lucknow and the most loved space also. It is a great place for every mood, an expansive space to sit back and relax.

Cappuccino Blast located close to the heart of city at 12, Mall Avenue, next to ETV office, Lucknow which is very much away and free from the chaos and turmoil of the city life.

This place is also known for its plush and vintage theme decor. At the entrance there is a narrow gallery where you can see beautiful small wooden houses, bottles and lamps hanging from the trees and white fencing at the sides that leads to the Bakery (Butter Cup Bungalow), a fine dine restaurant (Ultraviolet) and a small shop(Dreams), an open air section(hookah lounge), an indoor section and a roof top cafe.

This place has a vintage set up, all in white and floral that makes it look so beautiful, calm and serene. It also has a spacious parking lot and clean washrooms. I love this place especially during the evening time and winters. The cozy and warm seating space on the roof top/indoor and open air section ,where you can just sit back, relax, listen to good music, play guitar, play games, enjoy the weather, enjoy the good food or do whatever you feel like doing.

Few days ago I along with my fellow bloggers attended a food tasting session at Cappuccino Blast organised by the owner of the Butter Cup Bungalow, Aarti Vaid.

When it comes to food everyone has their own taste like some of you may like savory food and some of you may like confectioneries. It happens often a lot with me that I am not always willing to try a different food but after this food tasting session I have decided to treat my taste buds with all kind of delicacies rather than the ones that I always order.

In this food tasting session we were served with the delicacies from all around the world like: Italian, Mexican, and Burmese (Vegetarian and Non Vegetarian both).

We were served with the food at Ultraviolet, a fine dine restaurant at the cappuccino blast. Talking about the interior, which is very much royal, elegant and lavish. The heavy chandeliers, royal chairs, beautiful curtains and other antique stuffs in the interior make the place pleasant and comfortable at the same time.

At the food tasting session we were served with about 25 dishes and I will be listing down few of them that I liked the most and will also recommend it to you guys.

VEGETARIAN DELICACIES

1. Khow Suey
A Burmese dish with coconut flavour curry served with steamed noodles, fried noodles, French fries, fried onion, roasted garlic, Chilli and vinegar accompanied with some other condiments. This cannot be eaten all alone. You should give this dish definitely a try when you are in a group.

2. Cheese fondue: Served with garlic bread and long stemmed forks, to dip the bread into the pool of melted cheese. The melted cheese is seasoned with herbs and served in a fondue dish. It taste so good and if you love cheese then you should definitely give it a try.

3. Original falafel: It is a Middle Eastern dish and the key component of the dish is the chick peas. It is served with soft pita bread filled with Lebanese chick peas bullets served with Tahini and hummus dip.

4. Jalapeno and corn quesadillas: Kidney beans, Jalapenos, corn and cheese stuffed together in a very generous amount into the soft corn tortillas. It has all the Mexican flavours and quite spicy.

5. Garden surprise: Baby corn, mushroom and paneer cooked in a rich creamy tomato sauce and served with pasta stir fried vegetable and French fries.

NON VEGETARIAN DELICACIES

1. Mexican chicken: Grilled breast pieces of chicken served with sauté English vegetables (like corn, carrot, mushrooms and broccoli) and tangy sauce along with the Mexican rice.

2. Chicken Satay: Chicken marinated in lemon and herb dressing. Skewered, grilled and served with peanut butter sauce.

3. Fish Portuguese: Grilled fish with mushrooms in a thick red sauce served with parsley butter rice.

The butter cup bungalow

This place moreover looks like a welcoming home. The moment you will enter the place you will definitely fall in love with the entire cute decor on the walls and all around you. It has a very warm, calm and comfortable atmosphere with shabby chic vintage dining tables and chairs. The cafe with its floral walls, bright lights and unique ceiling decor makes it look charming and pleasant. Above this, The Butter Cup Bungalow is known for its cup cakes, English breakfast and custom cakes. They have some really good variety of confectioneries like cup cakes, cheese cake, pastries, waffles, crepes, shakes and smoothies, coolers and coffee. They have a tea room section in their menu which has great English tea options. They also serve the authentic English breakfast.

In food tasting session we tried many desserts which were all baked by the owner of the Butter Cup Bungalow Aarti Vaid. She even bakes for her customers with all her heart, love, hard work and dedication maintaining the authenticity of the food.

DESSERTS

Chocolate Fondue: Served with chunks of sponge cake and long stemmed forks, to dip the cake into the pool of melted rich chocolate and cream. It is served in a fondue dish. This is a must have at the Cappuccino Blast. Next time, you visit cappuccino blast with your friends or family don’t forget to treat yourself with this oh-so- heavenly dish.

Red velvet pastry: You will not find this kind of red velvet pastry anywhere else in Lucknow. The color is beautiful and has a velvety texture. I cannot exactly explain how it tastes like it was quite non distinctive but the pastry was moist and fluffy with a hint of vanilla and chocolate.

Cheese cake: (Creamy, smooth and rich)
Taste like creamy cheese and the sweetness is very subtle.

Blue berry cup cake and Gooey chocolate Oreo pudding

  1. Bon appétit means - "Have a good appetite" / "Enjoy your meal."
It's pronounced like [Bohn app aytee]. (The final "t" is silent.)
It comes from the masculine noun "l'appétit" (= "appetite, healthy desire for food").
That's why we write "Bon" (= masculine for "good") and NOT "Bonne" (= feminine for "good") appétit for "good appetite".
However, Bon ends with a consonant letter and is followed by a vowel (a), so we make la liaison – the "n" is no longer silent, and Bon instead sounds like Bonne.
    Bon appétit !
